CIL celebrated 62nd Republic Day of India

Coal India Limited celebrated the 62nd Republic Day on 26 January 2011. India became a Republic on 26th January 1950. It was on this day the Constitution of India came into the force replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India.

Mr. Partha S Bhattcharyya, Chairman, Coal India Limited unfurled the national tri-colour atop the Coal Bhawan – the corporate headquarters of the company - in the presence of the Directors and other employees of the company. The day was also observed solemnly at “Rohini” the residential complex of CIL with rendering of national anthem and other patriotic songs.
