Hon’ble Minister of Coal, visits Coal India Limited, Kolkata

Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal, Hon’ble Minister of Coal, Government of India, visited Coal Bhawan, Coal India Limited (CIL) headquarters, Kolkata on Wednesday, the 4 July 2012. Ms. Zohra Chatterji, Additional Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Coal was also present during the occasion.
Shri Jaiswal had a review meeting of CIL with Shri S Narsing Rao, Chairman, CIL and Functional Directors Shri R Mohan Das, Director (Personnel & Industrial Relations); Shri A K Sinha, Director (Finance); Shri N Kumar, Director (Technical) and Shri B K Saxena, Director (Marketing).
Later on, the Hon’ble Minster had a brief Press Meeting with Kolkata media. He informed the press about the positive performance of CIL during the first quarter of the fiscal (April-June 2012), the steps being taken to boost up the coal production and meet the demand of consuming sectors and other important issues related to CIL. Shri Jaiswal also had an interactive session with the press. Present during the press meet were Chairman CIL and Functional Directors.
