ICVL Meeting held on 23 January 2011 in CIL Office Kolkata

A meeting of International Coal Ventures Limited (ICVL) was held on 23 January 20011 at Coal India Limited, Kolkata, where Citigroup, the banker appointed to study the feasibility of acquisition of mines abroad, made a presentation.

ICVL a joint venture of Five Indian PSUs – Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL); Coal India Limited (CIL); National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC); National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) – was incorporated in May 2009 to acquire mining assets.

The meeting was attended by Mr. C S Verma, Chairman, SAIL; Mr. Partha S Bhattacharyya, Chairman, CIL and senior Directors of other PSUs in the consortium.
