Mr. N C Jha lays foundation stone for CIL’s Residential Complex Jan 19, 2012
Mr. N C Jha, Chairman, Coal India Limited (CIL) on 19 January 2012 laid the foundation stone to the Residential Complex and Community Centre proposed to come up, as the second phase, in the company’s new office complex, under construction, at Rajrahat, New Town, Kolkata.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. A K Sinha, Director (Finance), CIL; Mr. R K Mishra, Executive-Director, National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited NBCC) and other senior officials of CIL as well as NBCC.
CIL has assigned the construction of its state-of–art office complex to NBCC Limited, a public sector unit. The new complex has an area of 15 acres at New Town, the fast expanding city periphery.
The ‘green’ building designed to accommodate CIL employees measures approximately 269,000 Square Feet in Ground plus eight storied configuration. The complex shall be aesthetically appealing with all amenities of a modern office complex. It shall also house “Martyrs Memorial” in memory of coal miners who laid down their lives in their duty in the service of the Nation. Construction work for the office complex is fast progressing.
